Well, here it is ... the cover for Return to Bone Tree Hill, the murder mystery coming out in March from Thistledown Press. I don't think my son is crazy about this corn image, but I love it. Of course, I know how it relates to the story, and he doesn't, so I have a slight advantage. Once he's read the book, we'll see if his opinion changes.
At the moment I'm busy trying to arrange a promotional tour for the book in Winnipeg. Since I lived and taught there for 22 years, I have a few connections, and chances of setting up speaking events is a bit easier than if I decided to tour ... say Fairbanks, Alaska. I already have a reading set up at McNally Robinson Bookstore in Grant Park Plaza for May 21st. Now if I can line up a few schools and a library or two, I'll be good to go. I chose the last 10 days of May, because it's post-snow-and-pre-mosquito season. Winter debris will have been swept off the streets, and the storefronts will be hosed down and cheerful. There will even be green grass and bright flowers.
But best of all, my newest grandchild will be four months old, and I'll be seeing him/her in person for the first time. It's all very exciting, and I can hardly wait.
