With two of my books going out of print this year, I was pleased to learn that one of my older titles has been granted a
new lease on life.
In its prime, The Gramma War did very well. It got good reviews, was shortlisted for a number of awards, and sold quite a few copies. It has been one of my most successful books so far. But it's been seven years since it was first published, and the bloom is off the rose, if you know what I mean. The book has had its day.
But wait! Last week the publisher at Orca told me that Scholastic Books has purchased The Gramma War for a literacy project, and so the book is currently being reprinted. Yay! This is unexpected good news. It looks like there's still a little mileage left in that book after all.
I couldn't be more pleased.
