Welcome to the scribbler's library, a quiet corner where you can read books you won't find in your local library.
Allow me to explain.
I am a scribbler, a writer of stories, and though I have many published books, I also have many that haven't been published for one reason or another. But we writers are a vain lot, and as much as we like writing stories, we also like them to be read. So I've decided to share some of those unpublished stories here on my website.
Enjoy! And please let me know what you think.

First Up -- Bran
Set in 10th century Wales, this is the story of a young Druid boy who becomes a powerful sorcerer.
It is actually the prequel to The Seer Trilogy, a series that was published in 2020/21/22 by Crwth Press. The publisher shut its doors before Bran was completed, so the story hasn't had the opportunity to reach readers - until now. It's kind of like the Star Wars Movies -- out of order. But it doesn't matter. Bran is meant to be read after The Seer Trilogy even though the story actually takes place before it. But if you haven't read the other books, it won't affect your enjoyment of this book, because it stands alone.
Here's what Martha Attema says about the novel:
"I couldn't put it (Bran) down. The interesting and well-rounded characters kept me reading. Bran is such a strong character for a young boy and I was moved by his relationship with his mother. I found Cara intriguing. At first I was a bit puzzled by her interactions with Bran, but then she grew on me. You managed to build the tension between Bran and his father until it grew into the climax of the story. You painted life in the castle so well, I felt I was there. You shouldn’t give up on this story. It deserves to be read by young and older readers. It’s well written, well paced - a story of courage, love, loyalty and magic."
